We are celebrating the third year of life with an extraordinary event. As from this number, In Sardegna© is available right across the Internet network in hypermedia form. Up to this point there isn't anything particularly exceptional: some newspapers from different parts of the world are already accessible using a simple personal computer connected to Internet. Our paradisiacal island has the first and only Italian newspaper, the Unione Sarda, connected to the network. Until now, no italian magazine has been available on Internet in hypertextual and multimedial version. In order to give justice to this debut, we have decided, together with the editorial office, not to print one issue of our three-monthly magazine on glossy paper. This number is going to be absolutely virtual, thanks to the effort of one of my friends, researcher at CRS4.
I am sure our usual readers will forgive us, but we will return to them on the 21st of March 1995. On that date we will return to news-stand of Sardinia and parts of Italy, or directly to the homes of subscribers.
A warm welcome to new readers! :-) Also you will be able to find us, punctually, four times a year. At every equinox and every solstice we will be present with a new updated edition and always richer in information. We would like to take the opportunity to remind you that the column Open Space is made by you. If my father Rinaldo, the man who founded this magazine with me, could only see us now, he would surely be so excited and proud to guide us. I am sure in the knowledge that he is keeping an eye on us from heaven, which always gives us strength and determination to stride on ahead. I send him a big hug.
